Justin Rockett

Justin began his yoga journey as a way to help with anxiety and to reconnect with a love for movement that was rooted in him as child through dance and gymnastics. Justin completed his training in the Prana Flow System with Micheline Berry and has completed Restorative teacher trainings with Lizzy Lasseter. Justin also has created a unique class with the use techniques to restore the myofascial system in order to move deeper into postures while ultimately balancing the emotional and energetic body. He is well known for teaching from the heart and delivering a class that is supportive, therapeutic, and energizing. He was primarily inspired to create this community space, Ybor Restore Yoga, as an invitation for beginners to connect with their bodies and as a place to offer classes that are emphasized on therapeutic alignment.

Johnnie Alicandro

I began practicing yoga in 2009 after years of running. I was instantly hooked on this thing called vinyasa yoga and its free spirit. The combination of intelligent movement, practical wisdom, mindfulness and a touch of spirituality met all of my needs. My dedication to yoga is in honor of my “teacher” Micheline Pierrette Berry, whose 2011 Liquid Asana Training convinced me that if you leave it all on the mat, it will be received. I also believe that teachers come in many different forms. If yoga is about life, healing our lives and transforming our lives, the pain, the loss, the joy, then I have many, many teachers to whom I am grateful. In the words of the poet Rumi, from The Guest House….”Be grateful for whatever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.” My goal is to teach from my practice, share what I have learned and continue learning and to offer what moves me. I seek to create space and strength in the body and in the mind in order to create space in life through a grounding, challenging, expansive and uplifting Vinyasa practice. The respect that I have for all of the students who walk this path with me runs deep. When we practice together, there is an energy in the room where breath leads movement, pure innocence is present, and there is a right of passage to what is inside our souls. ”I am Johnnie and this is yoga”…

Lois Waite

Lois completed her 200 hour training in Vinyasa Flow from Bella Prana under Roni Elissabeth Sloman, Tina Tidwell, and Jessica Lynne Trese. She is currently enrolled in the 300 HR YTT at Bella Prana Yoga and Meditation. Lois “Lo” Waite began practicing yoga over a decade ago. A former competitive triathlete, duathlete, and long-distance runner, she found yoga to be a great compliment to her training. But as her practice evolved, she discovered yoga to be much more than just a physical practice. The mind-body connection through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness brought a sense of calm and peace to her life. Yoga has made her both emotionally and physically stronger, healthier, and more balanced. A desire to share what yoga has brought to her life led her to enroll in teacher training. A compassionate teacher, she teaches students that yoga is much more than exercise, it is a way of life. Lois creates a space for her students where they are safe and free to explore, learn, and meet their practice exactly where they are. She teaches that yoga is for everyone and that first you find the breath, then you find the version of the pose that is best for you. Her classes teach the benefits of pranayama and meditation, while offering students the ability to grow their practice through focus on proper alignment.
